Dr. Santosh Kumar Dehury: Champion of Human Rights and Social Justice
Dr. Santosh Kumar Dehury, a social and human rights activist, journalist, and World Citizen Peace Ambassador, has over 40 years of dedicated service advocating for marginalized communities. In 2023, he led a 12-day Jal Satyagraha at the Rengali Dam reservoir on behalf of 12,000 displaced families from 263 submerged villages, highlighting their struggle for justice. As President of the Pallahara Rengali Budi Kshyatigrasta Praja Sangha, his leadership and unwavering commitment drew national and international recognition, setting a world record for peaceful protest. His work continues to inspire social activism, human rights advocacy, and community empowerment globally.
