Success story of Shri. Rinku Chakraborty
Struggle of my life- In my childhood my parent’s financial condition was very poor. My father Late Kamal Chakraborty worked in a shop. So I got admission in a SCST boarding school in class five. But very soon my father passed away, and my mother started work in people’s houses and arranged food for us but I didn’t have enough money for purchasing books for my study or tuition till 10+2. After passing 10 plus two, I have given tuition to the students and earned money and with this money I have enrolled my self in college. And after that I have started work with a publication house. I left my job because they misbehaved with me there and i have started my own publishing house in 1999 by printing some small books. At first I used to take books in bags and deliver them from shop to shop in my district. Then I hired an office in Kolkata to increase the business from my district in collaboration with a bookstore. Then I have done 18 to 20 hours every day to bring out competitive books one by one. Students like those books very much. Currently, Tapati Publishers is the number one company in West Bengal in terms of competitive books. As I was not afforded reading books and private tuition due to my poor financial condition as a child, today I try to stand for poor and meritorious students to bear their educational expenses. So far I have helped hundreds plus students in their higher education. Besides, another aspect that gives me a lot of pain is to stand as much as possible by the side of those who are suffering from very critical diseases and the economic condition is bad. So far, I have helped about 10 cancer patients in their treatment as much as possible. Also, I stand as much as possible by the side of those suffering from various other complex diseases. Also, during the COVID period, we tried our best to treat those who were infected with
COVID from reaching their homes. I went to the slums and conducted an awareness camp against COVID among them with masks, sanitizers, and soaps. Also, we have helped in various ways with food and clothing to those who have suffered from natural calamities such as Amphan, Yash, Aila storms, floods in various years, which have happened near us for almost 10 years. I have supplied books in rural libraries free of cost. Around 1000 units of blood have collected through various blood donation programs through out the year. Organised a blood donation camp on my birthday on 18th September 2022 and a hair donation camp to help cancer patients. There 133 people donated blood and 81 women donated hair. In this event my 21 year old daughter donated blood and my Mrs donated hair for cancer patients. I celebrate the birthdays of my sons and daughters by going to different orphanages with the children there. We also try to support them as much as possible by providing them with books, notebooks, pens, pencils, school bags, water bottles and other educational materials. Every year I donate clothes to 50 women during Durga Puja. In this way we do some work for the society throughout the year along with the business through various activities.
