Prof. Rajbir Singh is currently the Vice-Chancellor of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana. He has more than 3 decades of valuable experience in the field of Journalism & Mass Communication. He has also served as Vice-Chancellor, Pt. Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Art, Rohtak, Haryana from March 01, 2018 to February 20, 2020. Prior to this, Prof. Singh, who is a professor in Institute of Mass Communication and Media Technology (IMCMT) at Kurukshetra University since November 2007, has served as Director (2012-2017) of Consortium for Educational Communication, an inter-university center of University Grants Commission (UGC) dedicated to the cause of digital education in India. In the capacity, he undertook a complete reformation of the undergraduate education in the country leading to its complete digitization including development of educational multimedia digital content for the entire spectrum of 87 undergraduate (UG) subjects and, also, as Chairman, Task Force, coordinated the development of e-courseware of about 70 Post Graduate (PG) subjects under e-PG Patashala programme. Among several awards and honours received by Prof. Singh includes, the President Award and Commendation for Outstanding Contribution towards Digital Initiatives in Higher Education. Besides, he has vast professional experience in various high administrative positions with Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department, Govt. of Haryana.He has been actively contributing as member to the strategic decision making and other deliberations in various boards and committees of several important institutions including Executive Council, YMCA University, Faridabad and Executive
